We Didn’t Start The Fire! Juicy Weeknight Burgers + 3 Of My Fave Sauces

with No Comments

I have a confession to make. I don’t grill or barbeque. I don’t know how to start a fire and I just can’t understand why anyone would want to stand outside in the heat, in front of a fire, to cook some food. But I do love burgers! So, in the summertime or anytime for that matter, when I want to get my burger on, I make juicy burgers in the oven.

Do they have those lovely grill marks on them? No.

But do I have to melt in the heat to make them? Also, no.

Are they darn delicious? ABSOLUTELY!

Most of the time when I make these burgers I simply serve them with some roasted vegetables (I mean, the oven’s already on – let’s make the most of it!) and top them with a delicious homemade sauce of some sort. Without further ado – below is how I make Quick Super Juicy Weeknight Burgers and three of my favorite homemade sauces!

Quick Super Juicy Weeknight Burgers in the Oven

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

Preheat oven to 400°. Combine ground beef and spices in a bowl and form into patties. Line a baking sheet with foil and place into the oven for 5 minutes. Remove the baking sheet from oven and place patties a few inches apart. Return to oven for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and flip the burgers. Continue to cook until desired doneness (5 minutes for medium-rare). Serve topped with your favorite sauce or on burger buns with all the fixin’s, with a salad and vegetables.
